Fort Washington Investment Advisors, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Product Specialist in its Marketing Department.
The Product Specialist plays an integral role as a bridge between portfolio management and the business development and client service teams. The Product Specialist is the technical “expert” on the product areas he or she covers, managing the commercialization aspects of the investment strategies sold by the firm. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to managing and updating key messaging points in sales and marketing literature on investment strategies, performing peer group performance and style-based return analyses, completing request-for-proposals on specific investment strategies, and monitoring industry trends and communicating relevant knowledge to business development and portfolio management professionals to facilitate future product development efforts.
The Product Specialist is also responsible for coordinating quarter-end performance update procedures within the firm as well as with multiple outside consultants and related databases. This individual properly updates relevant product performance and characteristics statistics in consultant databases, disemminates such information to the marketing team to be updated in all marketing materials, and collects very technical information from portfolio managers while adhering to a very specific and time sensitive deliverables schedule.
A successful candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a financial-related field or a strong Liberal Arts background with commensurate work experience. Additionally, demonstrated successful financial analysis-related experience or training where the preparation of technical investment materials and financial models was completed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused, and concise manner is required.
